The Boardroom

What is now called the Boardroom, was originally built inside the south end of the freight house portion of the Santa Clara Depot in the 1950's as an office for the Acme Freight Company. The SBHRS has renovated this office space to represent what a typical railroad boardroom might look like at the turn of the century. The room is decorated with pictures and artifacts of the period before 1899.

The Boardroom is available for rent for off-site meetings.

Here is a sampling some of the effort it took to convert this room into a turn-of-the-century railroad Boardroom. Some of the helpers are shown below.
